Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Developer, Inflight Training Development to design and implement training for flight attendants within the Flight Service team. You will apply instructional design methodologies, incorporate multimedia, and collaborate with internal departments to align programs with corporate goals.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality training products on schedule, with opportunities to influence learning strategies and media integration across the Customer Experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Airline operational experience to comprehend cabin crew and Flight Service terminology.
• Background in adult learning, training development, technical writing and graphics editing.
• Knowledge of training development software such as MS PowerPoint.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Researches, creates, and implements training programs for American Airlines flight attendant training.
• Utilizes the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) model when designing and developing curriculum materials.
• Delivers training products within established project deadlines.
• Meets with internal departments to ensure training is inclusive of corporate initiatives, customer insights, and vision of American Airlines.
• Incorporates full range of media into training programs, including video simulations, electronic manuals and guides.
• Continuously monitors training content for quality assurance by observing classes and seeking input from instructors, class managers and students.
• Coordinates with Policies & Procedures, Safety Management, and Training Operations to ensure programs are aligned with relative policy changes.
