Job summary

University of Minnesota Physicians seeks an infectious disease specialist in the Academic Clinical emphasis track to join the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine (IDIM) at the University of Minnesota. The role covers both General and Transplant ID, with inpatient and outpatient care at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview.

Teaching responsibilities and potential clinical research opportunities are included in a diverse academic environment.

Qualifications

• Medical degree, board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine, and completed fellowship in Infectious Diseases.
• Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and transplant infectious diseases clinical care (inpatient and outpatient) with service staffing at Eastbank and Westbank.
• Staff inpatient telemedicine infectious disease consult service and antibiotic management teams.
• Educate students and residents rotating on the ID consult service; mentor infectious diseases fellows.
• Collaborate on clinical research within an intellectually stimulating academic environment.
