Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD, DO) is required.
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases.
• Meets criteria for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong record of clinical excellence and international scholarly activity.
• Proven ability to secure extramural funding for research.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine.
• Oversee the clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division.
• Develop and enact a plan for divisional expansion and program growth.
• Manage the Division's budget, resources, and personnel.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain faculty and staff.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Represent the Division within the Department and Institution.
• Develop and implement efficient policies and procedures.
• Support and promote a diverse, inclusive division culture.
• Maintain a clinical practice in infectious diseases and deliver patient care.
• Collaborate on clinical operations to ensure high-quality care.
• Promote best practices in infectious disease care.
• Support research activities and scholarly work.
• Foster collaborations across departments and institutions.
• Support the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program and faculty development.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
