Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in Central New York is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease physician (BC/BE) to join an established group of three physicians. The role includes inpatient and outpatient consults, outpatient HIV care, and opportunities in clinical research, stewardship and infection control, with telehealth coverage for non-affiliated hospitals.

Salary $270k-$300k with sign-on up to $100k. Requirements include ID fellowship completion, NY licensure or eligibility, and BLS

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS degree required.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Completion of an accredited USA Infectious Disease Fellowship.
• New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established group of physicians and provide inpatient and outpatient consults.
• Provide outpatient longitudinal HIV care.
• Handle infectious disease call rotation (1:4).
• Opportunity to cover telehealth for non-affiliated hospitals.
• Engage in clinical research, stewardship, and infection control.

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York is seeking a full-time BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician.

• Salary Range: $270,000 - $300,000.
• Sign-On Bonus: up to $100,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 3 physicians
• Inpatient and outpatient consults
• Outpatient longitudinal HIV care
• Infectious disease call by phone is 1:4
• Opportunity to cover telehealth for non-affiliated hospitals
• Opportunity to do clinical research, stewardship, and infection control
• Moonlighting opportunities for inpatient internal medicine as a hospitalist
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• With a faculty appointment from Columbia, there is daily interaction with medical students as well as internal medicine and transitional residents

Compensation

• Salary Range: $270,000 - $300,000.
• This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
• Sign-On bonus: up to $100,000
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
