Qualifications

• 5–10 years post fellowship preferred; leadership and program development experience.

Responsibilities

• Join an established group of physicians and APPs.
• Lead and mentor residents and medical students.
• Practice GI procedures within Bassett network.
• Maintain call schedule not more frequent than 1:4.
• Support teaching and development within the department.

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York is seeking a full-time BC/BE Division Chief for our Digestive Diseases department.

• Salary Range: $615,000 - $725,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 5 physicians and 4 advanced practice clinicians
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Demonstrated proficiency in standard GI procedures and testing
• Educational focus – teach and mentor residents and medical students
• Call no more frequent than 1:4
• Instant referral base provided with over 300 Network Clinicians

• MD, DO or MBBS
• BC/BE
• Completion of an accredited USA Gastroenterology Fellowship
• 5 to 10 years post fellowship highly preferred
• Established clinician with leadership experience
• Experience in program development

• New York State licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• DEA required

Compensation

• Salary Range: $615,000 - $725,000.
• This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-On bonus: up to $200,000
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
