Bassett Healthcare Network in Central New York is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join our staff in Cooperstown, NY. This role offers a competitive salary and a sign-on bonus, with teaching and research opportunities within an integrated health system.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Completion of an accredited USA Rheumatology Fellowship.
• New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• BLS Certification Required.
• DEA Required.

Responsibilities

• Clinic fully supported with skilled nursing and infusion nurses; triage coordination.
• Office staff provide patient support including 100% prior authorizations support.
• Join an established group of 2 Rheumatologists.
• Treat a wide variety of diseases across patient population.
• Teaching opportunities with house staff and medical students.
• Support for clinical research with nursing and statisticians.
• Limited call and minimal travel.
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network across an 8-county region.
• Be part of a progressive academic health system and teaching affiliate of Columbia University.

• Salary Range: $300,000-324,000
  • This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Clinic which is fully supported with skilled nursing, including dedicated infusion nurses and nurse coordinator for triage
• Office staff who provide substantial patient support assistance, including 100% support for prior authorizations
• Join an established group of 2 Rheumatologists
• Wide variety of diseases represented among patient population
• Teaching opportunities working directly with house staff and medical students
• Support for clinical research, including nursing, statisticians, and people expert in study design
• Limited call and minimal travel
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons

Compensation

• Salary Range: $300,000-324,000
  • This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
