Job summary

KOPA, Inc is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a role at the Avante at Mt. Dora facility in Florida. You will diagnose, treat, educate and lead a team within a skilled nursing environment, focusing on infection control and high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates will have SNF NP experience, a valid NP license, and a collaborative mindset ready to coordinate with facility leadership and other health professionals. Occasional transfers within Florida may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility, minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices.
• Knowledge of health care regulations and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.
• Valid nurse practitioner license.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and medical records.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Oversee patients’ overall health and care coordination.
• Lead and mentor NP team and provide clinical feedback.
• Educate patients and families on diseases, prevention and care.
