Job summary

The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, PA seeks an ID Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary care for people living with HIV. You will assess, test, treat, and educate in collaboration with the Infectious Diseases supervisor, while upholding HIPAA and quality standards.

This full-time outpatient role combines clinical care, education, research, and administration. You will work on-site with a schedule that supports patient care and administrative duties, including

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in Pennsylvania.
• Current BLS and ALS certification.
• Current DEA number from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals.
• Experience in mental health settings is a plus.
• HIV/AIDS experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with Infectious Disease Attending to provide acute and chronic medical care.
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Document treatment plans accurately in EMR as patient encounters evolve.
• Communicate clearly with patients and other healthcare workers.
• Provide women's health services including breast and cervical cancer screening and CQI projects.
• Monitor care continuity and manage emergencies in the clinic setting.
• Offer psychosocial counseling and community referrals as needed.
• Prescribe and dispense medications, including schedule II–V with DEA certificate.
