The Infectious Disease Clinical Nursing Director manages the daily clinical operations and care coordination for patients living with HIV/AIDS. This role focuses on optimizing patient health outcomes through medical case management, treatment adherence counseling, and coordination of multidisciplinary care. The coordinator acts as the clinical liaison between patients, infectious disease physicians, Ryan White program case managers, and community support services.
The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30-minute of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, four (4) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, six (6) years of which as a supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
