Avantara Joliet is seeking an Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse (RN) to join our caring team. You will educate staff and support the development, implementation, and enforcement of infection control policies to prevent outbreaks and protect residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field.
• Unencumbered Illinois RN license.
• CPR Certification.
• Five years of RN experience; 2–3 years in infection control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff on infection prevention and control best practices.
• Assist with development, implementation, and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures.
• Identify, control, and prevent outbreaks within the facility.
• Collect and analyze infection control data and serve as a resource for employees, residents, and families.
