Job summary

Ballard Rehab Hospital in San Bernardino, CA is seeking an Infection Preventionist/Professional Development Coordinator to join our team, working with medical staff and hospital leadership to develop, implement and evaluate infection prevention and employee health programs.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with an active CA license, knowledge of epidemiology and infection control, and at least one year of acute care experience, plus BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved

Qualifications

RN license active in California.
Knowledge of epidemiology and infection prevention concepts.
At least 1 year of acute care experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from Vibra-approved vendor.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and evaluate the infection prevention and employee health program.
Monitor infection prevention practices and report infections to health authorities as required.
Coordinate education and development needs with clinical staff and hospital leadership.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards and guidelines.
