Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking an Infection Control Preventionist to lead surveillance, prevention and control of infections hospital-wide. You will help develop and implement policies aligned with CDC/OSHA and regulatory standards while educating staff, physicians, patients, volunteers and visitors.

• Bachelor's degree in medicine, nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, public health or related life science field (preferred).
• RN license required by the state if the applicant is a registered nurse.
• Minimum of two years’ healthcare experience; one year in infection control/employee health preferred.
• APIC infection control courses desirable.
• CIC certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee surveillance, prevention and control of infections hospital-wide.
• Assist with policy and procedure development ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Educate staff, physicians, patients, volunteers and visitors on infection prevention practices.
