Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced System Infection Prevention Manager to oversee and maintain Infection Prevention software across the system. You will lead training, support Infection Preventionists, and ensure policies meet regulatory and evidence-based standards.

Five years of RN experience and five years in Infection Prevention are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data mining systems.

Qualifications

• Five years of clinical experience as a registered nurse required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Infection Prevention required.
• BSN degree required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Infection Prevention data mining systems.
• Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgement.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain workflow.

Responsibilities

• Designs, delivers and coordinates education for Infection Preventionists regarding access, functionality and reporting on all required software platforms.
• Participates in quality and process improvement initiatives addressing infection prevention issues at both the entity and system level.
• Trains, supports and mentors system Infection Preventionists.
• Travels to Baptist facilities for survey readiness, TJC and DNV surveys, and infection prevention program assessments.
• Builds trusting collaborative relationships with multi-disciplinary teams and leads meetings.
• Applies evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards when assessing environments and developing policies.
• Acts as subject matter expert and leader on infection prevention issues; develops policies consistent with standards.
• Engages in professional development; attends meetings and educational offerings.
• Analyzes and presents infection prevention data at committees; prepares workshops and community education.
• Understands and enforces departmental, entity and system policies and standards.
• Exhibits efficiency, competency and professionalism to promote a positive work environment.
