Job summary

Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hingham, MA, seeks a Full-Time Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) to join our leadership team. The role focuses on coordinating orientation, ongoing education, and infection prevention across the facility to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates will have Massachusetts RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, and 2+ years of clinical nursing with a preference for long-term care and

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
• At least one (1) year of long-term care/skilled nursing experience.
• Experience with staff education, supervision, and training.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Experience with rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
• Infection Prevention experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead staff orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Monitor and oversee infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility.
• Track and manage infection surveillance and testing programs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote quality resident care.
• Identify educational opportunities to improve clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Provide support, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness efforts.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families.
