Job summary

Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Full-Time Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) to join our leadership team. We are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center emphasizing teamwork and resident-centered care.

Qualifications include an active MA RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and 2+ years clinical nursing with 1+ year in long-term care. Role involves staff education, infection prevention oversight, and survey readiness within a supportive

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
• At least one (1) year of long-term care/skilled nursing experience required.
• Experience with staff education, supervision, and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead staff orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Monitor and oversee infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility.
• Track and manage infection surveillance and testing programs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote quality resident care.
• Identify educational opportunities to improve clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Provide support, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness efforts.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families.
