Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Two years of related experience in acute care, critical access hospital or similar.
• CIC certification highly preferred and required within 2 years of starting in role.
• Computer literacy with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities of the System Infection Prevention Department.
• Use epidemiologic tools to identify patients and personnel at risk of infection, clusters or outbreaks.
• Develop and monitor performance improvement activities, including surveillance for healthcare acquired infections and reportable diseases.
• Assist in data collection, analysis and presentation of data.
• Promote compliance with regulations, evidence-based guidelines and accreditation requirements.
• Serve as Infection Prevention consultant for construction and design projects across the hospital system.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to identify infection prevention needs and provide best-practice guidance.
