You will analyze data, educate employees, collaborate with care teams, and report to public health authorities, ensuring appropriate isolation precautions and proactive infection prevention across the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Implements IP measures under the guidance of the IP manager.
• Surveys, collects, analyzes and manages data.
• Analyzes problem areas and determines solutions.
• Partners with bed management for patient placement and isolation precautions.
• Reports to the CDC, State and Local health department.
• Serves as an active member of the Infection Prevention Committee and other hospital-based committees.
• Provides education related to infection prevention for all staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Collaborates with the health care team to promote evidence-based care.
