Job summary

Majestic Care in Terre Haute is seeking an Infection Prevention Staff Development Nurse (IPSD) to lead infection control and staff education. The role involves assessing needs, coordinating training programs, and ensuring compliance across the care team.

Responsibilities include developing orientation programs, delivering hands-on training, and monitoring performance to meet regulatory requirements. A valid nursing license and CPR certification are required, with experience in long-term care

Qualifications

• Experience in infection control.
• CPR teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Experience working with geriatric populations preferred.
• Experience delivering staff training and education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care team members receive required compliance training.
• Maintain training documentation per state, federal and compliance requirements.
• Monitor performance and address compliance issues.
• Develop and conduct clinical orientation for new staff with HR.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Coordinate CPR training and new employee training.
• Assess resident needs to tailor training programs.
• Work with DNS to certify nursing staff and CNAs.
• Support nursing team on the floor during staffing shortages.
• Collect and analyze infection data and trends for staff education.
