Job summary

Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH seeks an Infection Prevention and Quality Coordinator to lead and support hospital-wide infection prevention, quality, and patient safety programs. You will drive performance improvement, surveillance, and education for staff and leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance and data-driven decision making.

You will coordinate committees, track HAI and MDRO data, develop corrective actions, and provide guidance during outbreaks.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN license required (Compact State).
• CIC or CBIC certification within 3 years preferred upon hire.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Able to learn facility data collection software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong independent thinking and problem solving.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Knowledge of performance improvement tools and data reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and implements comprehensive Infection Prevention and Quality programs.
• Ensures hospital compliance with regulatory agencies and standards.
• Conducts surveillance and investigations of HAIs and reportable conditions.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates infection prevention and quality initiatives.
• Serves as a resource and educator on infection prevention and quality best practices.
• Manages data abstraction, analysis, and reporting for infection prevention metrics.
• Coordinates and participates in Infection Prevention and Quality committees.
• Maintain knowledge of CDC, APIC, CMS guidelines and relevant literature.
• Provide guidance to staff and leadership on infection risks and control.
• Audit infection prevention measures and monitor hand hygiene compliance.
