Job summary

Fresno Surgical Hospital is seeking a leader to plan, develop, direct, implement and evaluate the hospital-wide infection prevention program. You will ensure regulatory compliance, collect and report infection data, and drive improvement through surveillance and education.

Active collaboration with physicians, nurses and staff, plus oversight of reporting to NHSN and health departments, will be central. Strong communication and teaching skills are required to promote patient safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Infection Prevention, Epidemiology or related field.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to plan and communicate effectively with diverse staff.
• Strong educational program delivery for staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate hospital infection prevention program.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and NHSN reporting.
• Lead infection surveillance, audits and environmental safety tasks.
• Coordinate staff education and infection prevention practices.
