Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention RN to lead infection control efforts in a long-term care setting. You will conduct rounds, monitor prevention practices with staff, collect infection data, and maintain records for healthcare-associated infections.

The role requires an active RN license and prior infection control experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC. Certification is preferred; strong communication and a professional image are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the practicing state.
• Prior infection control experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings preferred.
• One year of experience delivering specialized treatments in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings required.
• Infection Control certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds.
• Discuss and monitor infection prevention practices with staff.
• Collect infection data from departments.
• Maintain records for each case of healthcare-associated infection.
• Conduct outbreak investigations.
• Train staff on infection prevention implementation.
• Investigate infection incidents and report to the appropriate person/department.
• Ensure availability of supplies for infection prevention activities.
