Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LVN license issued by the State.
• License in good standing with no active probation or substantiated violations.
• Completion of an Infection Preventionist training course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and annually evaluate the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Conduct ongoing surveillance of healthcare‑associated infections (HAIs) using established criteria.
• Track, analyze, and report infection data to the QAPI committee.
• Lead the facility's response to infection outbreaks, including contact tracing and containment.
• Ensure infection control policies meet CDC, CMS, and OSHA regulations.
• Educate staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene and precautions.
• Maintain state of survey readiness for infection control standards.
