Job summary
Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Infection Prevention Nurse. Qualifications
- RN license active in Wyoming.
- CPR or BLS certification current.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in healthcare.
- Infection prevention certification (CIC) preferred or willing to obtain.
- Solid knowledge of CMS, CDC, OSHA guidelines and long-term care regs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program per CMS F880 and state regs.
- Ongoing surveillance, tracking, and analysis of HAIs and communicable diseases.
- Investigate outbreaks and implement interventions to reduce transmission.
- Monitor compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS infection standards.
- Lead infection control rounds and staff training on prevention practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to coordinate immunization and staff health programs.
