Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Registered Nurse to develop and implement infection prevention programs across the health system, protecting patients, staff, visitors, and the community while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include chairing Infection Prevention committees, coordinating surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, staying current with CDC and state guidelines, and supporting external surveys and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of well-rounded clinical experience.
• Must understand the physiological relationship of disease processes to infection prevention.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals and groups at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements the infection prevention program for MyMichigan Health.
• Chair the Infection Prevention Committee(s) for MyMichigan Health.
• Coordinates surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyzes data to guide actions.
• Maintains knowledge of prevention alerts and best practices from national/state entities and accrediting bodies.
