Job summary

Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital in Memphis, TN seeks a Nurse Educator to develop and implement education plans, lead new hire orientation, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality patient care through evidence-based education and staff development.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in nursing or related field (preferred), a RN license, and experience in clinical education, especially in psychiatric settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, education or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Five+ years of nursing/clinical education experience preferred.
• Inpatient psychiatry experience as RN strongly preferred.
• Current state nursing license; CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates orientation/onboarding for new staff to promote retention.
• Develops and implements education plans addressing practice gaps.
• Delivers didactic content and clinical skills instruction.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to evaluate outcomes data.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, CARF, CMS and state agencies.
• Acts as infection preventionist if needed.
