Job summary

The educator will mentor staff and residents, develop evidence-based curricula, and ensure regulatory-compliant training. A BSN is required; RN to BSN enrollment is acceptable while pursuing advancement.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher; can provide proof of enrollment in RN to BSN program.
• Qualified by education, training or experience to work with adult, adolescent, pediatric, neonate and/or geriatric patients as specialty dictates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead nursing educator activities including orientation, competency validation, in-service and continuing education.
• Collaborate with the Professional Development Specialist and unit leadership to promote evidence-based practice and lifelong learning.
• Maintain educational and competency records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Provide direction and support for clinical decision making, crisis intervention, and disaster preparedness as needed.
