Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group's Palisade Healthcare Center in Garretson, SD seeks an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse to monitor infections and educate staff on infection control policies.

You will interpret policies, teach procedures, identify issues, participate in QA/QI discussions, and maintain organized records for quick retrieval. Requirements include SD RN/LPN license; preferred: 2 years nursing, LTC, and infection-control experience.

Qualifications

• RN/LPN license in South Dakota (required).
• Two years nursing experience (preferred).
• One year in long-term care (preferred).
• One year experience with infection control (preferred).
• Experience supervising (preferred).

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Palisade Healthcare Center is currently accepting applications for an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse to track and monitor infections in the facility and educate staff regarding infection control policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Interprets and implements established facility policies, procedures and regulations
• Observes and teaches the facility infection control policies and procedures
• Demonstrates consistent ability to identify issues
• Participates in and contributes meaningful information in all meetings relating to resident care and QA/QI in the facility.

Education, Licensure and Experience:

• Required: RN / LPN license in South Dakota
• Preferred: Two years' experience in nursing
• Preferred: One year in long-term care,
• Preferred: One-year experience with infection control
