NorthBay Health seeks an Infection Prevention Coordinator who works independently and with the Infection Prevention Manager and Medical Director to support infection prevention across NorthBay Health facilities.

As an infection prevention expert, you will partner with the IP Manager and Epidemiologist to align with CDPH, SCPH, Cal-OSHA, Cal-OSHA and TJC standards. You will lead surveillance, education, and program evaluation for hospital‑wide infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; active CA RN licensure.
• CIC certification strongly preferred, or must obtain within 3 years.
• 5+ years of acute care experience; 2+ years in infection prevention/related fields.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Responsabilités

• Conducts on-site inspections and risk assessments, reporting to infection prevention committee.
• Provides consultation on safe delivery of healthcare services and infection control planning.
• Performs annual site inspections of facilities and ensures compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Monitors staff compliance with safety protocols and reports noncompliance.
• Develops surveillance strategies and prepares statistical reports to identify infection trends.
• Collaborates with epidemiology leadership to implement prevention measures.
• Maintains programs for hand hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and outbreak response.
• Coordinates education for patients and staff on infection prevention practices.
• Supports regulatory and accreditation readiness with appropriate agencies.
