Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist to lead a comprehensive infection prevention program with 24/7 accountability across the enterprise. You will design surveillance, investigations, and actions to reduce transmission, while maintaining an annual risk assessment and an evidence-based infection prevention plan.

Collaboration with antimicrobial stewardship and public health partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• RN license in good standing required.
• CIC - Certified in Infection Control within 4 years of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee surveillance systems and investigations to prevent HAIs.
• Develop and review infection prevention policies and guidelines.
• Lead annual risk assessments and infection prevention planning.
• Collaborate with antimicrobial stewardship and public health partners.
• Provide education and resources to staff on infection prevention.
