Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking an Infection Preventionist II to lead day-to-day prevention and control of infections across facilities. The role emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and acting as a change agent in line with APIC standards.

The candidate should have nursing credentials (RN), a BSN or health-related degree, and strong epidemiology in acute care settings; CBIC certification is preferred. On-call and cross-department collaboration are required components of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with BSN or health-related degree; Master’s preferred.
• Current RN licensure in New Jersey; CBIC certification preferred upon hire or transfer.
• Four years of acute care/public health experience with epidemiology/infection control emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, report, prevent and control HAIs across AtlantiCare facilities.
• Lead infection prevention programs, mentor staff and coordinate with leaders for new projects.
• On-call coverage for emergencies and critical test results; ensure compliance with APIC standards.
