Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• 3 plus years of infection prevention experience preferred.
• Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) is required.
• Mentorship course required within first year of hire.
• Knowledge of infectious disease, epidemiology, asepsis and immunology, and related medical microbiology.
• Advanced knowledge of local, state, and national infection-control regulations.

Responsibilities

• Leads facility-based multidisciplinary teams in infection surveillance and outbreak response.
• Educates and recommends preventative measures to reduce infection risks.
• Ensures regulatory and accrediting standards compliance and onboards new Infection Preventionists.
• Communicates with diverse stakeholders to guide evidence-based decisions.
