Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is seeking an Infection Control and Employee Health nurse to join its Leadership team. The role oversees infection prevention across the hospital, provides education to leadership and staff, and supports CQI activities under the QAPI plan.

Responsibilities include surveillance of hospital-acquired infections, ensuring isolation procedures, developing and presenting education, and maintaining performance-improvement programs and data reporting to committees.

Qualifications

• Three years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current licensure as LPN or Registered nurse.
• Experience in infection prevention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Infection prevention surveillance for hospital-acquired infections per NHSN guidelines.
• Ensure proper isolation procedures and compliance with infection prevention policies.
• Act as subject matter expert and leader on infection prevention/employee health issues.
• Assist in developing and evaluating Infection Prevention Plan and annual risk assessment.
• Prepare Infection Prevention/Employee Health data and reports for committees.
