Job summary

NHS Lothian invites applications for two full-time, permanent Infection Prevention and Control Nurses. Base discussed at interview; coverage across NHS Lothians sites will be required.

You will provide specialist IPC knowledge to multidisciplinary teams and pursue a specialist qualification as part of the role. You must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, and willing to undertake IPC qualification.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Willing to undertake Infection Prevention and Control Specialist Practitioner Qualification.
• Demonstrated continuing professional development and significant clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist knowledge and education in Infection Prevention and Control to multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist in infection prevention programmes across NHS Lothian sites.
• Travel between NHS Lothian sites as part of the team may be required.
