Job summary

Qualifications

• Nurse with IPC focus and expert advice within the Trust.
• Ability to liaise with IPC Doctor, Microbiology staff and external partners.
• Provide information and specialist education to staff groups.

Responsibilities

• Act as a specialist adviser to all staff in matters relating to infection prevention and control.
• Liaise and agree action with necessary staff in outbreaks.
• Deliver IPC training to a wide range of staff in different settings.
• Contribute to IPCT clinical audit programme and implement improvements.
• Provide information to patients, carers and staff on IPC measures.
