Job summary

Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. seeks a Coordinator to lead Vaccine Administration and Infection Control, aligning with MA DPH and CDC guidelines.

You will oversee vaccination programs, surveillance of exposures, and education across locations, while supervising the Backup Vaccine Coordinator and Vaccine Clinic Nurse.

This role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on policy implementation, staff training, and ongoing compliance in a busy health center in Worcester, MA.

Qualifications

• RN license required or equivalent licensure; LPN acceptable per MA requirements.
• BLS certification required.
• Five years of full-time professional experience in infection control or vaccination programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Vaccination Administration Program (VAP) and ensure MA DPH compliance.
• Manage vaccine inventory, storage, handling, and distribution across locations.
• Lead infection prevention through surveillance, hand hygiene auditing, and EOC rounds.
• Develop and update infection prevention policies and staff education.
• Collaborate with Employee Health and Population Health for vaccination policies and compliance.
• Provide monthly vaccine inventory and cost reports to finance and AP departments.
• Supervise Backup Vaccine Coordinator and Vaccine Clinic Nurse.
