Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Now in Illinois is seeking an Infection Control RN to develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention practices protecting residents, staff, and visitors. You will identify infection risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead infection prevention initiatives.

Key duties include providing skincare as part of infection control/wound care, contributing to care plans, and educating staff and residents on nutrition, skin care, and wound healing.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Illinois
• Understanding of infection prevention principles and regulations
• Excellent communication and education skills
• Professional experience as an Infection Control Nurse

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control practices to protect residents, staff, and visitors
• Identify, manage, and treat infection risks and Decubitus ulcers as applicable
• Participate in development and implementation of patient care plans
• Educate family, staff, and residents about infection prevention, wound care, nutrition, hydration, turning, and repositioning to promote wound healing
