Job summary

Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center in Reading, PA, is seeking a full-time RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse to coordinate infection control across our 103-bed facility. You will develop and implement policies, educate staff, monitor infection rates, and collaborate with the quality improvement team to enhance patient safety.

This role requires an active PA RN license and prior infection control or staff education experience; the position offers Monday–Friday schedule and on-site

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Prior experience in staff education or infection control.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement infection control practices across the facility.
• Develop and implement infection control policies, including hand hygiene and isolation precautions.
• Educate staff and provide ongoing training and feedback.
• Monitor infection rates and collaborate with quality improvement to reduce infections.
• Conduct routine surveys and assessments to identify infection control risks.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on staff development initiatives.
• Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education.
