Job summary

Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced RN Infection Control Nurse for a full-time, Monday through Friday position at our 103-bed facility in Reading, PA. You will coordinate and implement infection control practices across the campus, conduct routine surveys, identify risks, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Pennsylvania RN license, has infection control experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in infection control or related field.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine infection control surveys and assessments to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures, including isolation precautions and standard precautions.
• Educate staff on infection control practices and provide ongoing training and feedback.
• Collaborate with the facility's infection control team to implement effective measures.
• Monitor and report infection rates, and work with quality improvement to reduce infections.
• Participate in facility-wide initiatives to improve patient safety and satisfaction.
