Job summary

Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse. You will coordinate infection control practices across a 103-bed facility, conduct surveys, identify risks, and develop measures to prevent and control infections.

You will educate staff, implement policies, monitor rates, and collaborate with nursing leadership to improve patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license.
• Experience in staff education or infection control.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine surveys to identify infection control risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures including isolation, hand hygiene, and standard precautions.
• Educate staff on infection control practices and provide ongoing training and feedback.
• Collaborate with infection control team to implement effective measures.
• Monitor infection rates and support interventions to reduce infections.
• Contribute to patient safety initiatives and staff development programs.
