Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (Maranatha) in Brooklyn Center, MN is seeking an Infection Control and Prevention Specialist (LPN) to monitor and advise on infection control measures in coordination with Clinical teams. The role reports to the Clinical Administrator and supports long-term care operations.

The position requires an active LPN license, 2+ years of healthcare experience, and infection control certification or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in the state where you practice.
• 2+ years of healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control or ability to obtain immediately after hire.
• Knowledge in infectious disease and epidemiology.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for long-term care.
• Ability to write and implement policies and procedures; apply technology and IT-based instruction.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; adaptable and creative.
• Must read/write/speak English proficiently.
• Demonstrates compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Implement the infection prevention and control program and education.
• Coordinate, deliver and maintain infection prevention and control activities.
• Conduct infection control research and serve as a consultant to other departments to ensure compliance with evidence-based standards.
• Provide clinical education to employees to reduce infectious disease transmission.
