Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking an Infection Control and Prevention Specialist to monitor and advise on infection control measures in coordination with Clinical teams at HallMar Village, Cedar Rapids. This role targets RN professionals with experience in healthcare settings and an emphasis on policy implementation and education to reduce pathogen transmission.

The position reports to the Clinical Administrator and supports a senior living community offering independent, assisted

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in the state where you practice.
• 2+ years of healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control or ability to obtain immediately after hire.
• Knowledge in infectious disease and epidemiology.
• Familiarity with long-term care regulatory requirements.
• Ability to write and implement policies and procedures; apply IT-based instruction.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Implement the infection prevention and control program and education.
• Coordinate, deliver and maintain infection prevention activities.
• Advise and consult with clinical teams to ensure evidence-based practices.
• Educate employees to reduce infectious disease transmission.
