Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services HallMar Village seeks an Infection Control and Prevention Specialist (RN) to monitor and advise on infection control measures across clinical teams. The role supports program implementation and education to reduce infection transmission.

The specialist will coordinate with the Clinical Administrator and ensure adherence to evidence-based infection control standards within a senior living community.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in the state of practice.
• 2+ years healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control or ability to obtain immediately after hire.
• Knowledge of infectious disease and epidemiology.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulatory requirements.
• Ability to write and implement policies and procedures.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; adaptable and creative.

Responsibilities

• Implement the infection prevention and control program per organizational policy.
• Educate employees to decrease infectious disease transmission.
• Coordinate and maintain infection prevention activities with clinical teams.
• Conduct infection control research and serve as a department consultant.
