Job summary

PACS, a national post-acute healthcare provider, is seeking an Infection Control Nurse for our facility network. You will design, implement, and monitor infection control programs in accordance with CDC/OSHA guidelines, and work with nursing, environmental, and discharge teams.

Requirements include a Nursing degree and RN license, 2+ years in long-term care, knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, aseptic technique, and ability to lead committees on infection control.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse license is required in this state.
• APIC Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct the facility's infection control program.
• Monitor compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
• Lead Infection Control Committee meetings and report findings to Nursing leadership.
• Develop procedures for decontamination, sterilization, and waste disposal.
• Assist in employee health programs and TB management for staff.
