Job summary

Oceans Healthcare seeks an Infection Control Coordinator to lead infection prevention activities in the facility, under the IC Officer and DON. Responsibilities include planning, data review, reporting, and training staff to reduce risk to patients, families, and employees.

Requirements include a valid LPN license and at least one year of clinical experience, with preference for Employee Health and/or Infection Control in behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• LPN license required.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Infection Control activities to minimize infection risk.
• Develop and implement the Annual Infection Control Plan and Program Evaluation.
• Review data and investigate infection rates and trends.
• Perform environmental inspections and collaborate with department managers.
• Serve as liaison with Infection Control Committee and public health authorities.
• Assist in staff orientation and in-service training on infection control.
