Job summary

San Juan Care Center is seeking an assertive Nurse to join our Infection Prevention and Control team. Under the direction of a RN, you will manage infection prevention activities across one or more centers, serve as practitioner, educator and consultant, and lead outbreak management, employee health, and surveillance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates hospital-wide Infection Prevention Control Program.
• Complies with Federal and state regulations. Adheres to OSHA, APIC, AHOP and other regulatory agencies.
• Prioritizes Infection Prevention goals.
• Collaborates with Department managers and medical directors in implementing aspects of the Infection Prevention Program when requested or as needed.

Under the direction of a RN, you will be responsible for one or multiple centers Infection Prevention and Control Program and will function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator for all staff focusing on the following areas: Infection Prevention & Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health and Outcome & Process Surveillance. The latter includes identifying, investigating, analyzing, controlling and reporting infections.
