Job summary

Willows Care Center is seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) to lead our infection prevention and control program on-site. You will perform rounds, review sanitation procedures, and analyze infectious disease data while consulting with the Director of Nursing.

The role requires an unencumbered LVN/LPN license and strong knowledge of long-term care regulations. We offer a supportive team and opportunities for growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must have unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, terminology, laws and guidelines for long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct and monitor the facility's infection prevention program.
• Conduct rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures.
• Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
• Prepare summaries of resident/staff infections, corrective actions and results.
