Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Infantry Soldiers to act as the backbone on the ground, taking or holding ground in various combat operations.

You will participate in reconnaissance, operate and maintain weapons and communications gear, and work as part of a fire team during training and missions. Benefits include paid training and tuition assistance through the Montgomery GI Bill and state/federal programs.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a HS diploma or GED
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old
• Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Citizenship requirements apply

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations
• Operate and maintain weapon systems
• Engage targets under night vision sights
• Operate and maintain communications equipment
• Perform as a member of a fire team
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents
• Mobilize vehicles, troops, and weaponry
