Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking qualified individuals to join as Infantrymen. You will participate in reconnaissance, operate and maintain weapon systems, and perform as a key member of a fire team during training and combat missions.

You can earn while you learn through paid training, drill weekends, and tuition assistance. Training includes 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, preparing you for national service and future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Ages 17–35 range in eligible candidates.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements must be met (see NATIONALGUARD.com).

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)
