Bright Future Early Learning Center in Oakland, operated by 4C’s of Alameda County, seeks an experienced infant/toddler teacher for children 3 months to 2 years. A Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required, with at least three infant/toddler units.

The role is non-exempt and may require occasional work in a mixed age preschool room with children 2 years to start of kindergarten.

Qualificações

• Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required.
• Minimum of three (3) semester units of a qualifying infant/toddler course required.
• 15 hours of health and safety training, including CPR.
• Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children and adults.
• Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.
• Evidence of sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations.

Responsabilidades

• Meet the children’s needs in all areas - physical, emotional, social and cognitive.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate lesson plans and prepare materials in advance.
• Carry out appropriate and positive guidance as established by the Parent handbook.
• Be sensitive and responsive to parents and co-workers and act as a resource for them.
• Attend regular classroom meetings and monthly staff meetings.
• Assist in record keeping for the children in the classroom—accident, incident, and daily health reports.
• Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior.
• Maintain a room environment that is safe, inviting, interesting, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate.
• Be a supportive team player, professional, flexible, ethical, and respectful.
• Accurately record observations of development.
• Other duties as required
