Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher in Antioch to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments in alignment with Head Start standards. You will plan activities, observe progress, and partner with families to support each child’s growth in a warm, inclusive setting.

This full-time, on-site role requires a valid Early Childhood permit at the Associate Teacher level or higher and relevant Head Start experience; bilingual candidates are a plus and

Qualifications

• Must have Head Start AA degree or above; Early Head Start preferred.
• Current Child Development permit at the Associate Teacher level or above.
• Completion of required ECE units; bilingual/multilingual a plus.
• Two years of Early Childhood teaching experience; familiarity with Head Start settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum goals aligned with Creative Curriculum.
• Plan and facilitate activities for individuals and groups following standards.
• Supervise children at all times and document progress with observations.
• Engage families to support each child’s development; conduct home visits and conferences.
• Maintain health, safety, and licensing requirements in daily routines.
